Among the British aristocracy, who popularized posy rings, French was the language of love, and wearing French-iscribed posy rings was very popular. Licensed and cast from the original ring which now resides in the Museum of London. This ring has, in raised lettering, the French words, pour amour ce douc, meaning, for love so sweet. The original is a 15th C. English ring with French period spelling.
Sterling silver. One ring only is available in size 6.
Band width: approx 5.8mm; weight 3.6 to 4.4mm. Measurements are approximate and vary slightly with finger size of ring. The heart is sparkling, white cubic zirconia.
Includes a history card and a free drawstring jewelry bag (for each one or two rings). Hand-crafted in the U.S. by the ancient lost-wax casting method. A portion of the proceeds from the purchase of this ring goes to the Museum of London.
This ring is a special order and will ship in approximately four to six weeks.
