It will take some time, at first, to learn to assemble your ring, but with practice, you can put it together in under 15 seconds.

Here is a small selection of our custom rings. 

14K Rose Gold is hot, hot, hot!! Here is our four-band, medium-weight, Guinevere puzzle engagement ring with a round diamond mounted with a 14K white gold setting. The diamond shown is 1/2CT, and the weave of the puzzle ring is open. What do I mean by an open weave? See the center top (north) and bottom (south) loops (that is, these loops are at top and bottom in the image, but they are on either side of the diamond when it’s on your hand), and see how these loops extend out so each side of the puzzle ring has a very curved shape to it? This results from an open weave. All of our puzzle rings are available with an open, standard, or tight weave, so each ring is very custom. They are hand-woven, so no two are alike.

 

 

Below is a Guinevere puzzle ring with a tight weave. This is most popular for wearing with an eternity band. Eternity band? Well, people usually think this means stones all the way around the ring, but that’s not necessarily true. What eternity band really means is a ring that is a uniform width all the way around.

And a standard weave is below. See how this puzzle ring has center top and bottom loops with the tips just showing? This is another ring that is usually paired with an eternity wedding band, but you get to see a little more of the “puzzleness: of the ring than you do with the tight weave.

 

 

 

We just made this blue topaz and diamond puzzle ring for a client who had lost hers. It’s a 14K white gold, Celtic-knotwork inspired, four-band puzzle ring with a 4mm, step-cut, Swiss blue topaz and two 5-point accent diamonds. This is a genuine, hand-woven puzzle ring that really does come apart and go back together. You may choose your center stone and side stones, and we can thus customize your ring just for you. 

New Claddagh Shadow Band with Marquise Diamond Puzzle Ring

Our client wanted the addition of trinity knots to her claddagh band along with a very narrow shank. We delivered the finished set this week, and our client stated that she received exactly what she had envisioned.

She wrote, “I would never have gotten this level of perfection anywhere else, and I am so grateful for all of the work that you and your artists put in to this creation.”

June, 2018 update: Though we lost the wax carver who did this piece, we DO have a new hand-wax carver with the skill to create this shadow band. We will update this page as soon as we have a finished piece to show you!

This set sparkles and is fun and lovely in four colors of 14K gold. The puzzle ring is 14K rose, yellow, white, and green gold with a 14K white gold setting. The 14K yellow gold 2mm shadow band is made from an original, hand-carved wax that is made to go precisely with this very puzzle ring. Our shadow bands are all one off originals made to go with our original, hand-woven puzzle engagement rings. This set is now in Northern Alberta, Canada!

A 0.93CT, VS2 clarity, marquise diamond with a rare length making it look visually more like a 1.10CT diamond. It’s set on a 15-gauge, open-weave, 14K yellow gold puzzle engagement ring. It’s a bit heavier than the typical four-band, medium-weight puzzle ring on our site, scaled as it is, to hold this larger stone. What you cannot see in this image is how outrageously this diamond sparkles. We will not send out a diamond ring unless the diamond meets our exacting standards for beauty and sparkle. It is not the clarity that creates sparkle in a diamond. It is the cut, primarily. There are several cut characteristics, including cut, symmetry and polish. Those characteristics are graded fair, good, very good, excellent. We look for at least one of those to be very good or excellent, and as long as there is at least one (if not two or three) that are very good to excellent, then the diamond is going to have a lot of sparkle.

Truthfully, we’ve occasionally seen good cuts have great sparkle. To us, it seems odd that diamonds are graded on everything BUT beauty and sparkle, probably the only things that really matter, providing the diamond has a floor of no inclusions visible to the unaided eye. So we do our own informal grading for beauty and sparkle, and if you order a diamond from us, that’s what you’ll get. Plus, you be the judge. If you are not over-the-moon about your diamond, let us know. We’ll swap it out for you.

Sky blue topaz is a light aqua blue, and, like all blue topaz, it is reputed by folklore to represent friendship, devotion, and loyalty as well as peace of mind. Here it is shown on a four-band, medium-weight puzzle ring in palladium.

Below is the brightest blue topaz, known as paraiba-like blue topaz. It is named for the color of Paraiba tourmaline, a rare and beautiful version of tourmaline. Naturally, we can make your puzzle engagement ring with almost any stone you want: diamond, ruby, sapphire, emerald, alexandrite, blue or other colored topaz, tourmaline, garnet, amethyst, or almost anything else you dream of.

Blue topaz has been getting more attention lately. It is available in several blues and provides such a great alternative for an engagement ring if you love blue! The first one shown here is with a 4mm London blue topaz. We can of course make it with a larger stone. This is about a 0.40CT.

A marquise is shown here in a 1/3CT (6mm x 3mm) Swiss blue topaz and a standard puzzle ring weave. Of course, one of the reasons some women love blue topaz is that you can go BIG with your stone without breaking the bank! On this four-band, medium-weight puzzle ring, the next and largest size available is a 0.66CT, which is 8mm x 4mm. For a larger stone, such as 1.33CT (10mm x 5mm), we go up in puzzle ring weight, so the puzzle ring is sturdy enough to bear the heavier stone.
