Platinum Poesy rings have a high-polish, with a matte finish in the recesses of design and/or lettering. Platinum rings cannot be antiqued, so the insides of the letters are matte, rather than the charcoal color of gold Poesy ring letters.

And why do platinum rings cost so much, you may ask? Gold is alloyed with other metals, so you are paying for less gold per overall gram of metal. In a 14K gold ring, you are getting 58.5% gold. Platinum is used almost pure, and platinum is heavier than gold; so there is far more weight in platinum in a platinum ring than there is gold in a gold ring. Your platinum ring will contain approximately 95% platinum.

If you don't have time for the size trial, then we can work from an existing ring that fits you. If you do not have one that fits, it's best to purchase an inexpensive silver ring and wear it for a few days and then send it to Mandira so we can measure it and have your poesy ring made in the identical size.


Re-Stock Fees
There is a risk of having a re-stock fee if you have to return a ring to be re-made. (We can size them up or down a small amount for free. You would just pay the shipping each way. If you must have a platinum ring re-made, please be prepared to pay a restock fee of approximately 8% of the retail price of the ring. This is our poesy maker's fee.


Returning Platinum Rings or Canceling Order
Although platinum rings may be returned, we try to minimize the possibility by taking the time to get the sizing worked out in advance of going to platinum. There is a $50.00 fee upon the cancellation of a platinum order once we have sent out the trial rings; 15% if you cancel after the rings have begun production.

If you get the ring sizer and trial rings and then cancel your order, upon return of the trial rings, we will refund your money, less shipping costs (including drop-ship fee) to date, and less the 5% or 10% cancellation fee, depending on when you have cancelled.


International Customers
At this time, we offer platinum rings and a Free Size and Style Trial to customers in Canada, UK, continental Europe, Australia, NZ and Japan. You may place your order with approximate sizes; we will air-ship size-trial sterling silver rings to you, along with a finger sizer. Allow 2 - 4 weeks for delivery. We ask you to cover the cost of the shipping both ways for the sizer and rings. (Approx. $55.00 total overseas; $19.00 to & from Canada.)
