FOLLOWING IS the entire text of the
passage, written by Paul in 57 AD. This was
Paul's
summary of how to preserve the church from
corrupting influences: Love is patient; love is
kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant
or rude. It does not insist on its own way; It is
not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice
in wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth. It
believeth all things, hopeth all things, and
endureth all things. It is a timeless truth,
just as applicable to our lives today as to the
church almost 2000 years ago.
