We have excellent online animated, written, and video instructions that will have you weaving your ring back together like a pro in a half hour or so. With practice, you'll put it together in under a minute! The multi-ston eand the tighly woven rings require a little extra care in assembly.
All rings are available in 14K yellow, white, or rose gold or a combination of colors; four colors of 14K gold including green; palladium; or platinum.
News Flash! We can now make palladium puzzle rings with palladium settings. This combination is THE answer to the high cost of platinum. A platinum family metal - palladium has the white color of platinum, all the long-wearing durability of platinum -
it gets harder the more you wear it; it polishes beautifully - but at a rate comparable to gold in
puzzle rings and at present the same as or a tiny bit less than gold in custom wedding bands. (If you find a palladium engagement ring on our site that still specifies a platinum setting, please call or email, as we will gladly correct that.) Palladium puzzle rings are usually priced the same as gold.
This is Norm's original, classic design with a marquise-cut gemstone on the medium four-band puzzle ring, because, no matter what size your diamond, it will look larger than the same-carat-weight stone in another shape. Also, since it is long and somewhat narrow (generally a 2:1 ratio of length to width), it allows the largest amount of the puzzle to show.

This is the most reliable, carefree setting we offer.
This flat square setting is called an "illusion" setting, because when a diamond is mounted in it, it makes the diamond appear larger. This is because the setting is always white gold (for any color gold Guinevere ring) or platinum. It is difficult to discern visually just where the diamond ends and the setting begins.
Plus, for women who prefer a ring with a very shallow profile, this ring is perfect! Nurses, teachers, mom's with young ones, outdoorswomen, and athletes love this ring. If you don't want to have to turn your diamond in towards your palm everytime you put a sweater on, then this is the ring for you.
Although we select all of our settings for their trouble-free nature, the Guinevere is one setting that has never even had a bent prong, let alone a more serious event. It is the epitome of strength and sturdiness in a diamond or gemstone setting.

Other puzzle engagement rings are not made in sterling silver, because sterling is not strong enough to sturdily hold a setting and a costly faceted gemstone. This ring holds a flat-backed, oval cabochon (smooth front finish) tightly against the puzzle ring bands; oval cabochons are less expensive than faceted gemstones, and in the Riona, they make a perfect sterling silver engagement ring.
The Riona is also available in 14K yellow (shown, at right), white, or rose gold, any combination of two or more colors, or even (with green gold) four colors of 14K gold. Please notice that the setting in yellow or white gold is different from the silver setting. Most of our clients who have ordered this lover it. We had a single long-haired client who understandably did not like the way it caught her hair, Since there was no alternative setting that is this beautiful for this ring, she decided she would simply adjust, as she loves the look of her ring.
