Also, every single diamond is different from the next. A diamond of a particular carat weight may have a greater or lesser depth, thus resulting in changed dimensions of length and width. In general, we seek marquise stones with a 2:1 ratio of length vs. width, but it is not always possible to find a marquise diamond that fits that ratio exactly. Therefore if you prefer that your diamond be longer and more slender, as shown in the image with a .55CT diamond below, or, if you prefer that it be slightly shorter and wider, then please let Mandira know. Colored gemstones are usually available with the 2:1 ratio.
