Please note that as of Sept. 26, 2008, Crystal Realm is in full compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). This is the new credit card processing industry standard for your data protection.


1. Secure Server
When you place an online order with us, as soon as you click on "Proceed to Checkout", each page after that takes place on our secure server. You may look in the lower right corner of the page to see the small lock icon in its locked position. Our secure server is absolutely state of the art. Please examine our Secure Website Certification.


2. Encrypted Code
What makes your orders with Crystal Realm doubly secure is that all of your paymentl information is actually converted into Encrypted Code when it is sent to us.  This includes your credit card number and expiration date.

The encryption process takes the characters you enter and scrambles them into a string of bits that are securely transmitted over the Internet. There is only person in the world who can undo the Encrypted Code, using a secret Encryption Key. That unnamed person who works at Crystal Realm is the only one who can access your orders online.

Furthermore, here is another level of safety: We use an online "Gateway Processor," as do all online stores. This processor, which in our case is the Durango Merchant Services (DMS), passes your credit card information on to your credit card bank. At no time EVER can any DMS employee, authorized user (such as Crystal Realm) or any other party EVER access more than the first four and last four digits of your credit card number. There is NO way anyone gaining access to the DMS system can lift your credit card number.

3. Notify Your Bank
In the event of a fraudulent transaction, you must notify your Credit Card Bank as soon as you become aware of it (your bank will probably give you 4-6 weeks from the date of the statement it is on to report it, but please check with your bank for their particular rules). Most banks either cover all the charges that result from unauthorized use of your credit card, or they may limit your liability to just $50.00.

4. We'll Pay You $100.00
Crystalrealm.com will cover your liability up to $50.00 provided that the unauthorized use of your credit card resulted through no fault of your own from purchases made at crystalrealm.com while using the secure server. In addition, we will pay you an additional $50.00 for your inconvenience. If your bank doesn't make you cover $50.00, then the entire $100.00 we pay you is yours to keep. We will pay this liability to you, provided you first give us the opportunity to see if the charge was a glitch in our system (namely human error) and to rectify it. To begin this process, please email us with as many details as you can about the transactions. We may require that you provide us with a copy of your credit card statement and a request in writing for resolution.

This pledge covers a maximum liability of $50.00 plus an additional $50.00 just for you. In the event of unauthorized use of your credit card, arising from your ordering on www.crystalrealm.com: After first notifying us, you must notify your credit card provider in accordance with its reporting rules and procedures.
